Cold Saturday Steelhead

Cold Saturday Steelhead

Paul Sr. & Jr. with some nice steelhead from this very cold past Saturday.

Water temps have dropped into the low 40’s putting the steelhead in a holding position until warmer weather starts to break later in the week.  Steelhead can be found in the slower moving deeper holes, faster runs, and gravel areas.  Water levels remain high pushing 4500 to 5000 cfs with a medium stain.  More steelhead continue to enter the river system due to the high water.  It’s just a matter of time when water temps maintain a above 42 degree water temp for a few days straight to really turn the fishing on.
