Fall Steelhead & Monster Size King Salmon

Curtis with an outstanding early October steelhead

Here’s Curtis from New Orleans with an awesome 24″ rainbow trout in the transition stage of becoming a steelhead.  Great fish Curtis!

Not to be outdone, here’s Jim from Chicago with a very healthy female king salmon from his guided trip yesterday.

Curtis pictured with his first ever king salmon from the Muskegon river in Newaygo, MI.  Curtis mentioned “this fall fly fishing on the Muskegon river here in Michigan is not quite like the salt water fly fishing back home”.

Jim with another great king salmon from his October, 13th guided fishing trip

Here’s Jim with another very healthy female king salmon.  Great job Jim!  Hopefully we’ll see you again this December for some winter steelhead fishing!

I’m very happy to report more fresh salmon staging in the deep holes.  Looks like we’ll be getting another push of king salmon very soon.  The colder temps mixed with rain has brought fresh fish up the river system.
