Got Trout?

Brad Gehl's Bow

Was an absolute pleasure to guide Touring PGA Golf Professional Brad Gehl and his dad Jay for a very relaxing day of tout fishing on the Muskegon river.  Opportunities for hook-ups were had all day long.  Dry flies and streamer patterns were key.  Water levels remain very strong for this time of the year on the Muskegon.  Caddis and Midge patterns are really starting to gain momentum.  Surface activity for trout is best early morning and evenings.  No salmon spotted yet but it won’t be long.  Look for the trout fishing to get better every day here on out as we get closer to October.  Colder water temps with cooler nights is going to kick the trout into feeding frenzies from here on out.

Special thanks to Matt Supinski and The Gray Drake Lodge for hosting the trip.
