Fall steelhead on the Muskegon river are well known for their lightning fast bursts and acrobatic aerial displays. This fish hit and immediately made the drag scream 200 feet in about 3 seconds. Muskegon river fall steelhead are simply awesome game fish and now is the time to target them. They are the best fighting North American game fish and guess what…..they live in our own back yard here in Michigan!
The recent rain to the north the past couple days has raised the water levels on the river and has begun to bring in more steelhead. With the existing extroidanary amount of king salmon this fall, look for the fall run of steelhead to be incredible!
