Muskegon River Salmon Dates Available in October

Dry fly fishing for trout is heating up as the water temps cool down heading into September.  Prolific hatches of caddis & blue wing olive force trout to look up. September & October are the last months of the year we’re able to stalk large size trout feeding top water.  Take advantage of this last opportunity for excellent dry fly fishing before they turn their attention to other food sources.

Also,  King salmon fishing is right around the corner with peak dates available in October.  In fact, October on the Muskegon river provides the best fishing opportunities for very large king salmon, trout, and steelhead gorging on eggs behind salmon bedding areas.  Book a trip for the early part of the salmon run to get the best fishing.  Several peak dates are available.  Give us a call to help you select the best date depending on what you want to do.  Fishing the salmon run is also a great way to learn river fishing techniques and a great way to get your kids hooked on fishing.  Call now to book your trip before prime dates run out!
