Just when you thought the steelhead were averaging on the small side this year….BAM!! I don’t think so.
Kind of get sick of all the doom & gloom with the recent river fishing reports. Salmon run on the fringe of extinction (one of the best salmon runs I’ve witnessed in years) steelhead are “on the small side” (caught some of the biggest steelhead in years). I could post steelhead pics 10x deep… The truth of the matter is…..if your willing to put forth the effort, the Muskegon river will produce!
Water levels are high at 3300 cfs. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with the next few days of weather patterns. Water temps have dipped below 40 degrees. Steelhead are here in consistent numbers. Steelhead fishing is strong right now.
