Setting the Stage

The stage is being set for this up coming spring steelhead run on the Muskegon.  Maintained water levels of 2,000 cfs right now, look for the first major run off with warmer air temps next week to push fresh fish up the river system.  Due to the major amounts of current snow build up, the water levels this spring will be perfect to stimulate and maintain the spring run for a very long time this year.  Should be a good run!

Jason's Winter Steelhead

Here’s Jason with the best/beast of the day.  A really nice 13lb Buck.  Even the cold water temps didn’t stop this powerful steelie from a full on aerial assault with blistering runs.  Great fight!  Great job Jason!  Congrats on your first Muskegon river winter steelhead!
