Here’s Carissa with a really nice chrome hen along with a huge walleye.  Not to be out done by her dad with some nice chrome steelhead.

Steelhead are on the move as high flows (4900 cfs on Friday) and stained water allow safe passage for the fish to migrate up river all day long.  Evidence of beds are around but activity is very low due to the cold water temps fluctuating from 37 to 39 degrees.  Cool forecast in the coming days along with more rain will help the spring steelhead migration.

Success for us again came from the deeper slower moving runs.  Slow presentations and fishing the hole thoroughly was key.
