Bad To The Muskegon River Brown Trout!
(Sven with a gorgeous Muskegon River Brown Trout!)

Here’s Sven from Colorado with an absolute gorgeous native natural reproduction Muskegon River brown trout.  I give Sven all the credit in the world for sticking with it despite the adversity / encouragement (or lack of it) in the boat lol ….Congrats Sven on such a beautiful Bad to the Muskegon River Brown Trout!

(Muskegon River Brown Trout)

Sven told me one of his biggest hopes was to land a nice Muskegon River brown trout.  Well, land it he did!  Congrats on such a beautiful river brown trout Sven!  You earned it my friend!

Ever since the Michigan DNR raised the keep length years ago to 15-inches on the Muskegon River, the brown trout population has grow in both size and quantity.  Sven’s river brown is proof.

The peak of the steelhead run is in full swing on the Muskegon River.  Steelhead can be found in pockets throughout the Muskegon River with fresh steelhead migrating up the river system and hungry drop-back steelhead making their way back to Lake Michigan.
