Here’s a guy I’ve come to appreciate over the past few years I’ve known him and had the opportunity to fish with him. I’ve worked with Dan over the most recent years helping him understand river fishing and how to use the rivers current to your advantage from everything from the cast, the drift, rod position, and hook-sets!
It’s my absolute pleasure to Introduce you to Dan from Big Rapids, MI with his magnificent 18lb, 30-inches, of “Twisted Chrome” Muskegon River steelhead!
Absolutely insane fight Dan executed flawlessly! From the cast, the drift, the hook-set, and fight. Dan performed with the skill of a seasoned steelhead veteran! Incredible drag screaming runs, acrobatic jumps, that ultimately Dan lead this chrome beast to the net! Great job Dan! Congrats on such an incredible trophy size Muskegon River steelhead! Welcome to my addition my friend!!

With record numbers of salmon continuing to enter the river system the fall steelhead are not to far away in and around the salmon beds gorging on dislodged salmon eggs.
The king salmon run is in full swing on the Muskegon river. With a delayed start due to warm weather and low water is extending the salmon run on the Muskegon as hundreds of new salmon keep coming up river along with fall steelhead and large rainbow and brown trout. Good things are yet to come! Great time to fish the Muskegon river!
