Here’s Chris’s brother-in-law Kevin with his very first steelhead from the 2nd half of a winter steelhead trip yesterday. Kevin’s first ever steelhead just happened to be a beautiful 30-inch 16 lb. chrome hen. Not a bad fish to start out with. Welcome to the club Kevin! Great fish! Great fight! Well done!
Winter steelhead fishing conditions are good right now despite the erratic flows from the gate keepers of the Croton Dam.
Steelhead are present with some big ones around well worth the effort!
