Muskegon River Fly Fishing

The most popular and exciting way we catch trout is with dry flies.  Fly Fire Guide Service prides itself on offering some of the best dry fly fishing on the river.  It’s our specialty.  This forum epitomizes why so many people love to fly fish; anglers attempt to hook a 20’’ trout with a diminutive dry fly on a light line, stalk the rise, and then are able to fight and watch the trout attack the fly on the surface.  It is quite thrilling and it is a spectacle to behold.

In addition, we also catch trout through nymphing and steamer tips on a sinking line.  Regardless of the technique you want to utilize to catch trout, we will help you be successful!

It’s important to note the best dry fishing for trout in the Muskegon River often takes place from May thru July, as that is when we most often see prolific hatches.
