Dave and Bert with an outstanding day of steelhead fishing from earlier in the week. Including Bert’s massive 18 pound, 33.5 inch alpha male buck and Dave’s 22 inch rainbow trout. Awesome fish!
Water temps are rising with the current trend of warmer weather finally starting to break. The spring steelhead run is now gaining momentum as water and air temps start to get back to normal for this time of the year. Steelhead can be found in all stages from deeper slower moving holes, to faster moving runs behind gravel, and traditional gravel areas. Very large size brown and rainbow trout can be had on the edges and behind gravel areas.
