Here’s my good friend Chris from Grand Rapids, MI with an absolute monster steelhead! Picture perfect naturally reproduced Muskegon River steelhead! Doesn’t get much better than this. Congrats Chris!

We had to pull up the anchor for this big boy to try and tire the beast out by having him tow the boat to the net!

Weighing in at 17-pounds, 32-inches of Twisted Chrome Steel on the Boga Grips this awesome Muskegon River steelhead just ripped Chris into his backing several times with aerial assaults and twists and turns that led this beast to the net!

Here’s steve with a beautiful walleye. The walleye spawn just in front of the steelhead and is a precursor to the start of the spring steelhead run.

Pushing 27-inches and weighing in at 8-pounds this healthy girl was filled with eggs ready to pop!

From left to right here’s Trevis, Chris, and Steve getting in for the picture helping Chris celebrate this beautiful crystal chrome hen from the Muskegon River.

Without a blemish on this beautiful healthy hen full of eggs almost ready to spawn.

With the recent warm weather finally on the horizon we are reaching that magic 42-degree water temps in the week to come.
Several fresh steelhead are on the run up river with some winter hold-overs starting to hit gravel. The spring steelhead run on the Muskegon is just getting started.
