Even if it was just for a few hours, it was nice to finally get a chance to break away and do some fishing for myself today along with my good friend Bert from Rodney, MI. We did really well. The bite was on again! Almost every spot we stopped produced fish. It’s amazing to see how much power these steelhead have even in the month of December. Awesome day! Awesome Fish! Awesome battles!!
Is the fall steelhead run over? Or, is it just starting? I believe the later to be true. We finally had a push of water to bring more steelhead up the river system. More precipitation followed by moderate water temps in the mid 40’s for the next few weeks will only bring more steelhead up the river system.
