Bad To The 22″ River Brown Trout!

Bad To The 22″ River Brown Trout!
(Ed with a 22″ Muskegon river brown trout)

Here’s Ed from Hillsdale, MI with an exceptional 22″ Muskegon river brown trout.  This river brown struck Ed’s fly like a lightning bolt and fought like a king salmon with a heck of a pull from the start.  Was such a great surprise to see this wall-hanger brown come to the net!  Congrats Ed!  Incredible river brown!

(Ed’s 22″ river brown trout)

Ever since the Michigan DNR increased the catch size to 15″ on brown trout a few years ago, browns like Ed’s are becoming more common in the Muskegon river.

(Tale of the Tape!)

Steelhead continue to enter the river system as the water temps continue to cool down and flows rise.  The king salmon run is starting to dwindle down as the fall steelhead start to take center stage as their numbers continue to increase.
