Here’s Bert from Rodney, MI with a beautiful double football size Muskegon river brown trout.

The brown trout activity in and around the salmon beds has been and continues to be absolutely incredible this fall.

Ever since the Michigan DNR increased the keep size to 15-inches years ago on the upper stretches of the Muskegon the brown tour population has exploded in both size and quantity making the Muskegon River a very special place to brown trout fish.
Despite the low clear water steelhead continue to enter the upper reaches of the Muskegon. Rain and colder weather in the forecast will only make the steelhead fishing better in the weeks to come!
