Here’s Scott from New Buffalo with his best of the Day! This 12 lb. buck smashed his stone fly with pure rage! But wait, the story gets better. Anyone who has ever gone after these awesome game fish know they can stage themselves in some of the worst log jams in the river. This fish was no exception. I moved Scott in position and let him know not only do you have to make a pin point cast, if you hook this beast your gonna have to pull him out of the log jam while I move the boat clear from obstruction. Not only did Scott make the one in a million cast “on his first try,” he hooked this mammoth and immediately worked him off the fallen oak tree.
Again, words cannot describe the awesome battles and absolute professional executions both Scott & Mark put on today. These stories were so good I thought they both deserve their own blog for each! Great job today guys is a understatement!! I’ve not witnessed such extraordinary fly fishing angling like this in a long time!
