Brother Ben!

Brother Ben!
(Ben with a monster Muskegon river steelhead!)

Here’s my brother Ben from La Cresent, Minnesota with a monstrous chromed out steelhead from the Muskegon river.

Ben with a matching monstrous buck from the Muskegon.  Very likely the “alpha male” that was paired along side the big female steelhead Ben landed pictured above.

Here’s Ben with another chromed out hen brought to the net.  Purple Rain Bro!!

(Ben with a 20″ rainbow trout from the Muskegon)

Here’s Ben with a 20″ football size rainbow trout from the Muskegon river.  These large size rainbow trout have been on fire on the Muskegon with several over 20-inches brought to the net on recent guide trips.

(Ben with another beautiful chromed out hen!)

Here’s Ben finishing out the day with another beautiful chromed out hen from the Muskegon.  Ben is an excellent trout angler fishing the Driftless areas of Minnesota and Iowa.  Ben brought it up a notch to fish with me on the Muskegon river for some world class steelhead only the Muskegon river can offer!  Great job Ben!

Steelhead remain in the river system in pockets.  One day they are in one location the next they show up in other spots throughout the river system.  Despite the low numbers of steelhead, new chrome hens continue to show up keeping the big male steelhead around.
