Bert with one of the last steelhead of the spring run

Here’s Bert with one of a few remaining steelhead on the Muskegon river.

As the steelhead run grows closer to the end, the trout fishing is setting up for a spectacular summer.  Water levels are back down to normal levels for this time of the year running at 2000 cfs with very clear visibility.

The predominant gray drake hatch (the best hatch on the Muskegon river) has just started with weather temps getting back into the mid 70’s to 80’s for the next few days will only improve the dry fly fishing as we move forward.

Several dry fly fishing dates are available right now but don’t wait; the best dry fly fishing of the year is starting now and will only last through June.  The best time to book is within the first two weeks of the start of the gray drake hatch, so now is the time!

May dates available:  26, 27, 29, 30.

June dates available: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
