It was a true pleasure to guide my friend Eric from Hillsdale, MI on a beautiful fall day chasing king salmon on the Muskegon.
Salmon numbers are starting to increase. Fresh pockets of salmon exist throughout the river system. Water temps are on the decline pushing 60 degrees. The only missing link right now is water. Flows are dangerously low today pushing 1,000 cfs.
Look for this weekend’s cold front and hopefully rain to raise the water levels allowing more game fish to migrate.
