Team Byron with an outstanding half day trip bringing several fresh chrome steelhead and large rainbow trout to the net today.  Here’s a few of them.

Water levels have declined to 3500 cfs with a light stain.  Fresh steelhead are on the move as water temps approached 39 degrees today.  Evidence of gravel activity continues to grow although the main players seem to stay staged behind the gravel in the deeper runs.

Next couple days cold front should hold water temps in the 37 to 39 degree point.  Rain and snow in the immediate forecast the next two days should result in another push of high water and push of steelhead.   Warmer weather toward the weekend and going into next week will really increase the spring steelhead migration as fresh steelhead continue to enter the river system and migrate up river.
