Muskegon River Fall Steelhead!

Muskegon River Fall Steelhead!
(Phil’s Muskegon River Fall Steelhead)

Just two years into learning to fly fish please meet my new friend Phil from Chicago with an absolute beauty! A giant Muskegon river fall steelhead.  Congrats Phil!  For your first ever steelhead you did well!

(Tale of the Tape)

Weighing in at 17lbs with 34.5-Inch length, Phil’s steelhead is an absolute wall hanger!  Aerial jumps off the hook-set, 90 feet into the backing in a blink of an eye, it’s exactly what fall steelhead is all about!  Incredible fights!  Greta job Phil!  Welcome to the steelhead club!

(Morning on the Muskegon River)

This recent push of water has brought up new chrome steelhead to the Muskegon river.  Steelhead are scattered in good numbers throughout the river system.  Excellent time to fish fall steelhead on the Muskegon river!
