Here’s my great friend Jeff from Chicago with an absolute bull of a Muskegon River steelhead!

Measuring just over 32-inches and 17lbs on the Boga Grips, Jeff’s steelhead put up an incredible fight bringing Jeff into his backing on the fly rod in seconds!

Here’s Jeff’s guest Bob getting the hang of running the drift with a fly rod bringing this hard fighting buck to the net and in front of the camera. Great job Bob!

Here’s Jeff with a very fresh chromed out hen with eggs still in skein.

Here’s Bob finding his fly-fishing steelhead groove bringing this awesome male buck to the boat!

Here’s Jeff with another hard fighting buck brought to the boat.

Here’s Jeff with an absolute gorgeous very thick, very chrome Muskegon River steelhead! This steelhead is one of the thickest steelhead I’ve seen in a while.

Here they are pictured from left to right; Bob, Jeff, and Mike, the “Men of Steel” helping Jeff hold his monster steelhead pictured above. Thanks for the trip, guys! Great to fish with you all again!
The peak of the steelhead run is in full swing on the Muskegon River. Steelhead can be found in pockets throughout the Muskegon River with fresh steelhead migrating up the river system and hungry drop-back steelhead making their way back to Lake Michigan.
