Ryan from Tampa, Florida with a beautifully chromed out Muskegon river fall steelhead.

New steelhead continue to enter the river systems as the daylight shortens with the time change and colder nights mixed with precipitation is finally raising the water levels triggering fresh steelhead to migrate up river!

Not to be out done here’s Ryan’s friend Nhien also from Tampa with his first ever Muskegon river fall steelhead.

What started out as a friendly competition among friends quickly escalated with Nhien bringing this hard fighting steelhead to the net!

Ryan refusing to be out done brought another steelhead to the boat!

Here’s Nhien with a nice Muskegon River brown trout. Ever since the Michigan DNR raised the keep level on brown trout to 15-inches on the upper stretches of the Muskegon river the native brown trout population has exploded both in numbers and in length.

Here’s Ryan with a gorgeous Muskegon river brown trout sporting its beautiful fall colors. Ryan’s and Nhien’s beautiful river browns are the prime example of just how good the brown trout population has become on the Muskegon river. What use to be the holy grail of a 20-inch brown has now become a normal experience fishing the Muskegon and its incredible brown trout population.
