I’ve been so busy guiding this fall (which I’m totally grateful for; thank you to all the clients that trusted me with your fall fishing on the Muskegon river this season). I finally had the chance to put a line in the water myself since late August. Having not fished for myself for so long it was so nice to finally make some casts and have the opportunity to hook some beautiful fall steelhead. Forgot how much fun it is to fight these incredible Muskegon river steelhead!
This crystal chrome silver bullet had me into my backing on the fly reel in seconds. Amazing how much power these fall steelhead really have. Hardest fresh wanter big game fish in North America.
New steelhead continue to enter the river system as the daylight shortens with the time change and colder nights mixed with precipitation is finally raising the water levels triggering fresh steelhead to migrate up river!
