Please meet my good friend Joe from New Jersey with a hard fighting twisted chrome steelhead from the Muskegon River.

New steelhead continue to enter the river system as the daylight shortens with the time change and colder nights mixed with precipitation is finally raising the water levels triggering fresh steelhead to migrate up river!

Here’s Joe with his first brown trout he’s ever caught. Joe had been telling me they don’t have a lot of brown trout around where he lives and how much he hoped to land one from the Muskegon. Well guess what happened on the very last cast of the day! Congrats Joe! Beautiful Brown!

It’s great to see new fresh steelhead entering the river system as the nights get longer and the water gets higher!

Here’s Joe with a beautifully long healthy chromed out hen.
With the Holiday season approaching and friends and family coming into town, a winter steelhead trip is a great way to celebrate the Holidays and spend some quality time with friends and family in Michigan’s great outdoors fishing for some of the biggest and best fresh water Big-Game fish in North America!
We have steelhead trip availability over the Holidays. Click here to book a trip or inquire on availability!
