Jason from Rockford, MI with an absolutely gorgeous chromed out Muskegon river steelhead!
Here’s Nathan from Rockford, MI finding out first hand fishing for steelhead ain’t always easy. But, patience, perseverance, running the correct drift, and setting the hook can finally pay off in the quest for chrome!
What started out slow, quickly began to heat up fast with some great opportunities at some beautiful fall steelhead on the Muskegon river.
Here’s my favorite. Jason with a 20-Inch naturally reproduced (notice the adipose fin intact and fork shaped trout tail) Muskegon river rainbow trout!
Fresh steelhead continue to enter the river system as the heavy rains and higher water has “shuffled the deck” bringing new chrome up-river. Colder weather and winter coming is finally giving these steelhead a reason to move up the river system.
