Crimson & Chrome

Winter steelhead fishing on the Muskegon river picked up past couple days with the warmer temps.  We’ve been catching several winter steelhead sporting their crimson red colors including a handful of fresh chromers like this nice 30″ 12lb female.

Muskegon River Winter Steelhead

Look for this resent run-off of melting snow to raise the water levels and shuffle the deck bringing in fresh steelhead to upper sections of the river.  If you love steelhead fishing but never tried winter steelhead, give us a call.  It’s a great way to shake the winter blues and break that cabin fever.  Now is also a great time to book your upcoming spring steelhead dates.  We have several peak dates available for the spring run.  Peak spring steelhead fishing starts early April and runs thru May on the Muskegon river.
