As the water temps begin to drop the fishing is heating up!  A fresh push of chrome has made it’s way to the upper stretches of the Muskegon.  Keying on select areas with a leach pattern produced this very brightly colored hen. 60 degrees yesterday, 30 degrees today with 30 mph headwinds and 20 degree wind chill.  Must be late fall steelhead season in Michigan!  Despite the low clear sustained water on the MO we continue to put some great fish in the boat by keying on select areas and patterns. Happy Thanksgiving!  The MO remains running low and clear around 1100 CFS.  This cold front moving in tonight will drop the water temps near the 40 degree mark.  Winter is near!  We’ve been having some really good success lately by locating a few key spots holding some excellent fish.
