Is this winter fishing, or the start of the fall steelhead run we really never received back in November?  I can’t believe the surge of fresh fish we hit today.  Take a look at this 14 lb. female monster!  Check out the video below letting her go.  Fishing today on the MO was epic!  We… Continue Reading

This much needed water has brought in new chrome.  Most of the ones we caught the past days have been bright silver and full of energy!  The Muskegon was at a good level most of the day today,  flowing around 1,700 cfs but is now dropping.  The water temps are hovering around 40 degrees.  Look… Continue Reading

What a difference a little water makes!  Seemed like every spot we tried produced fish.  Whenever you have the opportunity to fish the day before a dramatic pressure drop or cold front, do it as it can produce results like we seen today!   Remember, winter fishing is here, 4 to 5 hours for $225.… Continue Reading

This nice 18″ resident brown struck the same leach pattern.  Lake run browns… Continue Reading

Ever had one of those days where you can’t seem to do any wrong?  A lake run brown, three resident brown trout over 18,” and a couple steelhead.  Not bad for a half day trip! The resident trout population on the MO is incredible!  It just gets better every year.  In one spot, we witnessed several nice rises from some (more than one) trout that would do justice over any one’s fireplace mantel.  Here’s one of them! This beautiful female Brown had a fat belly full of eggs, ready to… Continue Reading

60 degrees yesterday, 30 degrees today with 30 mph headwinds and 20 degree wind chill.  Must be late fall steelhead season in Michigan!  Despite the low clear sustained water on the MO we continue to put some great fish in the boat by keying on select areas and patterns. Pictures don’t do this fish justice.… Continue Reading

Happy Thanksgiving!  The MO remains running low and clear around 1100 CFS.  This cold front moving in tonight will drop the water temps near the 40 degree mark.  Winter is near!  We’ve been having some really good success lately by locating a few key spots holding some excellent fish. Here’s a great 9lb Buck showing… Continue Reading
