New regulations on the Muskegon river from 10-inch minimum to 15-inch minimum has increased both the size and quantity of the Muskegon river brown trout population resulting in beautiful brown trout like Calvins.
A new push of rain has raised the water levels once again on the Muskegon and has brought new steelhead up river. With the cold start to the spring run and the excellent flows with water temps finally getting into the ideal mid-40 degree mark the steelhead run will continue well into May with pockets of new steelhead taking the positions of the drop backs on their way back to Lake Michigan.
