Doesn’t get much more exciting for me to experience the Mighty MO in it’s true form flexing its muscle producing incredible brown trout like this one. Words can’t explain the pure gratitude I have toward the Muskegon to have access to such a world class trout stream as the Muskegon River.

Ever since the Michigan DNR raised the keep level on brown trout to 15-inches on the upper stretches of the Muskegon river the native brown trout population has exploded both in numbers and in length. This beautiful river brown is just another prime example of just how good the brown trout population has become on the Muskegon river. What use to be the holy grail of a 20-inch brown has now become a normal experience fishing the Muskegon and its incredible brown trout population.

New steelhead continue to enter the river system as the daylight shortens with the time change and colder nights mixed with precipitation is finally raising the water levels triggering fresh steelhead to migrate up river!
With the Holiday season approaching and friends and family coming into town, a fall steelhead trip is a great way to celebrate the Holidays and spend some quality time with friends and family in Michigan’s great outdoors fishing for some of the biggest and best fresh water Big-Game fish in North America!
We have steelhead trip availability over Thanksgiving week and the upcoming days. Click here to book a trip or inquire on availability!
