Once Bit Twice Shy!

Once Bit Twice Shy!
(Ed with a Mammoth Muskegon River King)

Here’s Ed from Hillsdale, MI with an absolute beast of a Muskegon River King Salmon!  Tipping the scales at well over 30 pounds and in excess of 40+ inches.

Ed’s beautiful Red Tiger Stripe King reminds me of George’s Tiger Stripe King he landed with me a couple weeks ago swinging flies in the deep pools.  Both kings are very unique and very rare with the red tiger stripe colors.  They almost look like the same fish.

(Tale of the Tape)

Here’s the “Tale of the Tape” on this beast.  One of the largest king salmon I’ve seen in a long time on the Muskegon River.  Congrats on such a special king salmon Ed!

Water conditions are good with the recent push of rain bringing up more salmon and fall steelhead.
