Beautiful day fishing steelhead on the Muskegon river. The bite was very strong with several opportunities at some great steelhead including the ones pictured here!

The size of these steelhead this fall have been incredible. Most of the steelhead brought to the net this season have been in excess of 25-inches and 13 to 14 pounds with several over the 30-inch mark and 17+ pounds like this one pictured here.

Another beautiful red stripe buck that fought like hell! Forgot how much fun it is to fight these incredible Muskegon river steelhead!

Good numbers of steelhead are scattered throughout the river system. All you have to do is find them!

Water temps are dropping dramatically. From 50 degrees last week to mid to low 40’s this week. With the sudden water temp drops the steelhead are transitioning from medium fast water and into their winter lies.
