Unfortunately this ain’t no April fools joke….that’s real snow in the back ground from this past week of fishing during the snow laden cold front that hasn’t quite yet let go of it’s wintery grip! Despite the cold starts here’s Pat from southern MI with some outstanding steelhead including the monster hen pictured top of the page. Great job Pat!
I’m not the only one, we’re all getting tired of the sub-arctic 19 degree starts these past couple weeks of trips. Despite these cold starts the steelhead are staging nicely in the deep holes. Water temps are holding at the 39 degree point. We need rain mixed with run off in the upcoming days to raise the water levels and turn the steelhead into over-drive!
