New Push Of Water = New Push Of Steelhead!

Top photo from right to left is John and Bert finishing up the second day of a guided two-day fishing trip with another excellent round of steelhead brought to the boat.  With every new push of water comes another push of fresh steelhead including some bright chrome hens pictured above.

There’s no shortage of water this spring as recent rains have pushed flows back up above 5000 cfs.  In 20+ years of guiding on the Muskegon, I cannot recall such good flows as we’ve experienced this spring.  Each new push of water brings with it a new push of fresh steelhead, and with more rain in the forecast for the next two weeks, expect fresh pushes of steelhead to last well into the first weeks of June.
